    The pluvinoctis flag.

Pluvinoctis is a xenogender in the Scene System that can be described as "you are walking back home in middle of the night in a strong, steady rainfall. Wind sometimes blusters the sparse trees in the skyscraper jungle you live in. Thunder crashes as you skirt around large puddles, and no one except you can be found on this night. A lamp flickers and buzzes as you walk by it. Otherwise, it is all gray and dark in the city. The brisk wind has turned your ears cold, but that energizes you, and the steady pounding of rain on your black umbrella calms you." This gender may feel calm and strong, and may be associated with strong rain, the night, the receding of light, contentment, and empowerment by the forces of nature. It may also feel as though one is alright, happy, or empowered with being in the hands of nature, while still holding some late-night haziness.

    History

Pluvinoctis was coined by Fandom user Heisenberg laws on July 10, 2021.

    Flag

The pluvinoctis flag was created by Fandom user Heisenberg laws on July 10, 2021. The blue stripes are representative of rain and thunder. The two gray-blue-green stripes on the outside represent the night. The singular yellow stripe represents the empowering feeling of walking in the cold, unforgiving rain. The flag was toned slightly gray to represent the absence of light.

    Etymolgy

The term pluvinoctis is a conflation of the Latin word for 'rain,' pluviam, and 'night,' noctis.
