Planetgender is a fluid xenogender associated with one or more planets or a gender that has qualities associated with a specific planet. A planetgender experience of gender may feel like adventuring on a planet and witnessing meteorological or astronomical events or entering different biomes. Unlike worldgender people, planetgender people identify more with the sense of adventure than the biomes and events explored.
It is not an umbrella term for other planet-related genders such as venusgender and marsgender. People with planet-related genders may consider themselves both planetgender and the specific planet or planets with which they identify.
History
The term was created by Tumblr user neopronouns on November 2, 2020.[1] The term was a tribute to Tumblr user gendergeode and their coining of many planet-related genders.
The definition of planetgender was expanded on by FANDOM user A Baffled Banana on the LGBTA Wiki Discord server on or before March 19, 2021.
