Pixelfluid (or pixelgenderfluid) is a term in which one has the smallest addressable element in a gender, and that element is fluid. For example, if one was pixelfae or pixelgenderfae, they would be a tiny bit genderfae (the smallest bit possible) but mostly something else. This “something else” can be any gender or combination of genders. Pixelfluid is a subset of pixelgender.[1]
History
Pixelfluid was coined by Tumblr user queerqorvid on April 21st, 2022, though it may have been in circulation prior to this date. The flags were created by the same user on the same day.
Flag
The pixelfluid flag is based off of the pixelgender flag. The rainbow gradient in the centre represents fluidity.
The pixelfluid alt flag is the same as the main flag, however the centre is composed of stripes instead of a gradient.[2]
