    The painsexual flag.

Painsexual is an ace-spec identity in which someone's sexuality causes physical and/or mental pain. It can also mean when an individual's sexuality is affected and influenced by unwilling pain. An example of this second definition is when someone's sexuality changes from asexual, to demisexual or even allosexual when experiencing pain, but changes back to asexual when no longer experiencing pain, or their sexuality stays the same until experiencing pain again. This pain is unintentional pain, and does not include self harm.

The term can be used on its own or it can be used in combination with other terms. This can count as a subset to abrosexual and aceflux, but it does not have to.

The romantic counterpart to painsexual is painromantic
