The nonaesthetic spectrum (or nonaesthetic umbrella) is a group of aesthetic orientations that fall under the umbrella term of nonaesthetic. Individuals on this spectrum may completely lack aesthetic attraction or feel it so little that they relate more to the nonaesthetic experience. The common link between those on the nonaesthetic spectrum is that they do not feel the "standard" amount of aesthetic attraction or they don't feel it in the "standard" way.
Those on the nonaesthetic spectrum, as well as the spectrum itself, may be called anae-spec, ae-spec, or nona-spec for short.

History
The term's usage seems to be much more recent; however, the term "a-aesthetic," "nonaesthetic," and "anaesthetic" have been in use since at least 2018.[1]
Flag
The nonaesthetic spectrum flag was created by genderfluid-ariel on or before March 10, 2021.[2]
The anae-spec flag was created by Artillery Bombardment on July 8, 2021, and added on September 24, 2021. The black stripe represents suptilianaesthetic identities, the grayish pink represents mesi anaesthetic identities and the three pink stripes represent the varying degrees of aesthetic attraction. It was inspired by the apl-spec and asen-spec flags' designs.
