A Non-SAM Ace is an asexual individual who does not use the split attraction model (SAM). A non-SAM ace is simply and only asexual and does not identify with any aromantic/alloromantic identity. There are many reasons why one might identify not use the SAM, including not being able to differentiate between romantic attraction and other types of attraction like platonic, feeling as though one's asexual identity is their most important identity, or choosing to disregard romantic labels for oneself because they don't find them useful, relevant, or worth the effort.
The romantic equivalent is non-SAM aro.
