Nomon Allies or Non-Mono Allies are those who are monogamous or otherwise not polyamorous, but supports the polyamorous community. This is different from a straight ally, as some people who are gay, multisexual, trans, etc are monogamous. The reason this label is important is due to the discrimination towards non-monogamous individuals, whether from outside of the community or at times within the community.
History
The term Nomon Allies was coined by FANDOM user Cryptocrew on December 25th, 2020. The reason they are called nomon allies, is because they are allies to the non-monogamous community.
Flag
The Nomon Allies flag was coined by Cryptocrew on December 25th, 2020. The pink represents monogamous nomon allies, the blue represents non-partnering nomon allies, the red and white-ish yellow triangle represents the polyamorous spectrum, and the plus sign represents support for polyamorous people from both people within and outside of the LGBTQ+ community. The flag was inspired by the Straight Allies flag.
