The word Nomipan was coined by discord user osstdollzz on the Gender Wiki Discord Server, on July 13th, 2021, at the request of user ᗩng3l_C0m*•°✴, who was searching for a term.

Discord user ᗩng3l_C0m*•°✴ created the flag on July 23rd, 2021, drawing influence from the genderfluid, pansexual, and nomifluid flags. The colours have no known meaning.
FANDOM user swooshielooshie created alternative forms of the flag on September 7th, 2021, drawing influence from the genderfluid, pansexual, pangender, and nomifluid flags. The meanings of the colors are yet to be assigned.
Etymology
The prefix nomi- was taken from the Latin word for "name", nomen. Pan is the word-forming element meaning "all, every, whole, all-inclusive."
