    The nomifluid flag.
    The namefluid flag.
    The edited nomifluid flag.
    An alternate namefluid flag.

Nomifluid (also called namefluid or abronominal) is when one's name is fluid. One might go by one name on one day, then go by another name the next. This is similar to genderfluid, but instead of one's gender being fluid, it is their name being fluid.

A nomifluid individual can have any gender, and they do not have to be genderfluid. If they are genderfluid their changing name may or may not be related to their changing gender.

    History

Namefluid was coined by Mod AP through the Tumblr blog beyond-mogai-pride-flags on February 18, 2019.[1]

Nomifluid was coined by Quora user Adrian Santiago on March 24, 2020.[2]

    Flag

The nomifluid flag was created by Quora user Adrian Santiago on March 24, 2020. Neither of the flags' colors have specific meaning to them.

The namefluid flag was created by Mod AP through the Tumblr blog beyond-mogai-pride-flags on February 18, 2019.

The alternate namefluid flag was created by Wiki user ClassyRaven. The composition of the flag was inspired by the genderfluid flag. The pink and blue are from the original nomifluid flag, and the orange represents freedom and balance.

    Etymology

The prefix nomi- was taken from the Latin word for "name," nomen.
