    The navicoric flag by @kenochoric.

Navicoric is a coric gender related to the aesthetics and themes of the novel House of Leaves, by Mark Z. Danielewski. For some people, it may be considered a subset of liminalcoric or cryptix, due to overlapping and similar aesthetics. It can be used alongside any other gender or alignment, or it can be used as a standalone gender. A similar gender to navicoric is anatomique, due to similar themes in both source materials.[1]

    Etymology

Navicoric is derived from the surname "Navidson", as this is the surname of one of the main characters from House of Leaves. It can also refer to the word "navigation" as a large plotpoint of the novel is navigating through a large house. Despite not fitting the more common themes of a coric gender, navicoric is still centered around specific core themes and aesthetics from House of Leaves, and the novel itself is often used as an aesthetic.

    Flag

The navicoric flag was made by Tumblr user kenochoric on November 10, 2020[2]. The flag has no stripe meanings, and is instead modeled after the cover of the book, with the stripes being taken from the colored text seen throughout the novel.
