Multinominal, also known as Polynominal, Plurinominal, or Pluronominal, refers to an individual who goes by and identifies with multiple names. One may go by multiple names at the same time, or they may by nomifluid. Those who are multinominal may either:
- Use two or more name at the same time. One might alternate between names every other sentence or in the middle of a sentence.
- Use different names at different times (nomifluid).
- Let others decide which name to use.
History
The term was first recorded around the 17th century, meaning to have several or many names.[1]
