Messromantic is a romantic orientation in which one can’t find a term which completely describes their attraction, so they instead jump from label to label. They might not know whether they feel attraction to the same gender, the other genders, or if they feel attraction at all. However, they may know some parts of their attraction, in which mess- can be used as a prefix, resulting in the terms messace, messgay, messtraight, messbiromantic, etc.
The sexual equivalent to messromantic is messexual.
