Lycheehoarder also known as lycheecollector is a subset of magpiehoarder in which one's orientation is static but one is unsure or is still questioning what their orientation is, so they 'hoard' or 'collect' orientations that fit them. The main difference between lycheehoarders and magpiehoarders is that magpiehoarders know what their orientation is, but will often hoard subsets or microlabels to better define their experience. However, lycheehoarders are still unsure of their orientation, so they hoard labels that describe their experience.

Lycheehoarder is also similar to kiwihoarder, however individuals who identify as lycheehoarder have a static orientation.

Lycheehoarder and similar -hoarder terms are often considered exclusive to those who view their term collecting as a form of hoarding.

    History

Lycheehoarder was coined by Reddit user u/hiitsyaz on the 6th of July, 2021.

    Flag

A lycheehoarder flag was created by user CrystalOwl (CrystalOwl95455 on FANDOM) on July 13, 2021. The colors are meant to represent those of the lychee, the fruit that this term is named after. Another, similar flag was made by the same user, later that day, with horizontal stripes, instead of the vertical ones in the original.

An alternate lycheehoarder flag was coined by FANDOM user Asayae on July 14, 2021. The meaning is as follows:

    • The dark green stripe represents the leaves of the lychee tree, as well as the known parts of a lycheehoarder's identity
    • The varying pink stripes in the middle represent the different skin colors lychees can have, as well as the questioning a lycheehoarder undergoes
    • The lightest-pink stripe represents the meat of the lychee fruit, as well as the parts of a lycheehoarder's identity that is still unknown
