LGBT+ Confederates are a group of people that believe that Confederates and The LGBT+ Community are comparable to each other. They believe that the two flags represent the same thing: that certain groups of people are not welcome, according to Star Parker. They also believe that if the LGBT+ Pride flag is allowed to be put up, the Confederate flag should also (ignoring the fact that they can indeed fly the Confederate Flag according to the First Amendment, which states that the people have the freedom of expression).

Star Parker

Star Parker is a commentator for Fox News. She is known for her controversial views, such as opposing abortion, divorce, same-sex marriage and birth control. She is one of those who advocates for LGBT+ Confederacy, despite her opposition to same-sex marriage. Infamously, she has claimed that same sex marriage is a sign that " “we are sick as a country”^{[citation needed]}. Fox News has not commented on her opinions.

Rejection

It is widely agreed that this opinion is wrong, saying that the LGBT+ pride flag and the Confederate flag are not the same thing, the LGBT+ Pride Flag stands for inclusion, while the Confederate Flag is a symbol of oppression.
