Korpvian is a gender identity where someone's position on the gender spectrum is determined by their experiences with dysphoria and/or euphoria. A korpvic individual would feel genderless when they are not experiencing dysphoria/euphoria, but when they start to experience one or both of those things, their gender identity "activates". For that reason, someone who is korpvian isn't agender: they have a gender identity, but they only experience it in relation to their dysphoria and/or euphoria.

Korpvian can be used as a gender identity on its own, or the adjective korpvic can be used as an in combination for any other gender identity. For example, a korpvic boy would be someone who is a boy but only experiences their boyhood when feeling dysphoric/euphoric, and when they're not they feel genderless, because their gender is intertwined with those experiences, so the lack of those experiences would translate to a lack of gender.

    Etymology & History

The word Korpvian combines the German word "korp" for body and the "v" from the Latin "vox" for voice to describe the two things which most commonly cause dysphoria/euphoria. The term was coined by FANDOM user CoreOfCilantro3 on February 22, 2021.

    Korpvian Identities

While korpvic can be used as an adjective for any gender and/or gender identity, the basic korpvic identities are korpvic boy, korpvic girl, korpvic androgyne, korpvic neutrois, korpvic outherine, korpvic xenic, and korpvic genderfluid.

    Korpvic Boy

A korpvic boy (or korpvic man) is someone who is a boy or boy/masculine aligned, but only experiences their boyhood or their masculinity when feeling dysphoric and/or euphoric. A korpvic boy would feel genderless when not experiencing those things.

    Korpvic Girl

A korpvic girl (or korpvic woman) is someone who is a girl or girl/feminine aligned, but only experiences their girlhood of their femininity when feeling dysphoric and/or euphoric. A korpvic girl would feel genderless when not experiencing those things.

    Korpvic Androgyne

A korpvic androgyne individual is someone who is androgyne or androgynous-aligned, but only experiences their androgyny when feeling dysphoric and/or euphoric. A korpvic androgyne individual would feel genderless when not experiencing those things.

    Korpvic Neutrois

A korpvic neutrois individual is someone who is neutrois, neutral, or niaspec, but only experiences their neutrality when feeling dysphoric and/or euphoric. A korpvic neutrois individual would feel genderless when not experiencing those things.

    Korpvic Outherine

A korpvic outherine individual is someone who is outherine or aiaspec, but only experiences their outherinity when feeling dysphoric and/or euphoric. A korpvic outherine individual would feel genderless when not experiencing those things.

    Korpvic Xenic

A korpvic xenic individual is someone who is xenine, xiaspec, and/or identifies mainly with xenogenders, but only experiences their xeninity when feeling dysphoric and/or euphoric. A korpvic xenic individual would feel genderless when not experiencing those things.

    Korpvic Genderfluid

The term korpvic genderfluid can refer to two things-

    1. A korpvian individual who may experience one gender when feeling dysphoric/euphoric, but a different gender another time when feeling dysphoric/euphoric.
    2. A korpvian individual who is genderfluid when feeling dysphoric/euphoric.

A korpvic genderfluid individual would feel genderless when not experiencing those things.

    Korpvic Paingender

Someone who's korpvian may also identify as paingender because of how their gender is centrally entertwined with their dysphoria. Since dysphoria is painful and their gender is based on their dysphoria, they may associate their gender identity with pain and therefore feel that their gender identity causes pain, making them paingender.

    Flags

All the korpvian and korpvic flags and their simplified variations were designed by FANDOM user Chasing Rainbowss (now Reign of the breadsticcs) on February 22, 2021. The black-grey spectrum in all the flags represent the genderless spectrum. In the actual korpvian flag, the red stands for dysphoria (red is associated with pain), and the golden yellow stands for euphoria (golden yellow is associated with pure happiness), and the orange represents a mixture of both dysphoria and euphoria. All those colors are separate on the flag because some individuals may experience dysphoria, but not euphoria, and vice versa, and some may experience both.

In the specific flags for each korpvic identity, the first flag for each represents the variety of the specific gender; so, for example, the light pink-dark pink spectrum on the korpvic girl flag represents the wide range of feminine alignments, from slightly feminine aligned to full binary woman; that same symbolism is consistent across all the other flags. The simplified flags for each korpvic identity are simpler versions to represent the general common aspect of the specific gender.

On all the flags, the fact that the colored spectrums are aligned and centered with the genderless spectrums represents how their identity is in fact still centered around the gender they are when dysphoric/euphoric and shows that they are that gender, not agender, but just that they only experience it under a specific circumstance of dysphoria/euphoria. That specific condition is represented in the sudden jump between the genderless spectrum and the colored spectrum: it shows how they're genderless but their gender identity is suddenly "activated" under their specific circumstances.

    Notes

This identity is not to be confused with any transmedicalist rhetoric. Neither dysphoria nor euphoria are "requirements" of being trans or cisn't, but for this specific gender identity, those things are the "key" to someone's gender experience. This is not to be misconstrued as saying that someone needs to feel dysphoria and/or euphoria to recognize their feelings of being cisn't or gnc. They don't, except for if they identify either partially or wholly with the label Korpvian.

It was made with neurodivergent individuals in mind, but anyone can use it.
