    Itamigender flag

Itamigender falls under the umbrella term of demihuman, where a person experiences a disconnect with humanity due to trauma. As such, itamigender is exclusive to people who have suffered trauma. The non-exclusive version of itamigender is demihuman and the more specific terms that fall under it, such as ahuman, librahuman, and parahuman.

Being itamigender may or may not affect one's other gender identities. For example, a person might have been binary before they were traumatized, after which they experienced a disconnect with humanity, so now they can only identify with non-binary genders.

    Related Terms

The terms libra-itami and para-itami exist to further describe the level of which somebody has disconnected with humanity due to trauma.

    • Libra-itami describes a person that feels around 1-50% human, AND
    • Para-itami describes a person that feels around 50-99% human

    Flag

The itamigender flag was designed by FANDOM user Asayae on July 8, 2021. The white stripe represents humanity, and the black stripe represents the trauma and pain that an individual has gone through. The six purple stripes tailing gradually become darker to represent the level of disconnect one may feel with humanity. The lightest purple represents the least amount of disconnect, while the darkest purple represents the most.

    The para-itami flag.

The alternate itamigender flag, libra-itami flag, and para-itami flag were also created by FANDOM user Asayae on July 8, 2021.

    • The alternate itamigender flag is simply a horizontal version of the original flag with equally sized stripes
    • The libra-itami flag includes the black and white stripes of the original itamigender flag along with the three lightest purple stripes to represent the most amount of disconnect with humanity
    • On the other hand, the para-itami flag includes the original black and white stripes with the three darkest purple stripes to represent the least amount of disconnect with humanity

    Etymology

The word "itami" is derived from the Japanese word "痛み", meaning pain, to represent the suffering that those who have gone through trauma have experienced.
