An it/its gay refers to a gay, vincian, or achillean person who uses it/its pronouns. Usage of these pronouns can be exclusive or part of a multipronoun set, and is defined as a more specific form of pronoun non-conformity and crosspronoun usage. It is not an uncommon experience for gay people to feel disconnected from their gender due to masculinity often being defined by relationships to women. Similarly to how lesbians might go by masculine names or present as a butch, or otherwise gender non-conforming, a gay person may use it/its pronouns to express this disconnect from its gender.
