Ionigender is a modegender and musicgender that feels natural and happy, or relates to the Ionian mode. One may feel that their gender can only be described using the Ionian mode. Alternatively, one's gender might change and/or fluctuate while listening to music that uses the Ionian scale, or while playing an instrument in the Ionian scale.

The term was coined by Tumblr user synpa-tee on July 27, 2021.[1]

The ionigender flag was created by Tumblr user synpa-tee on August 3, 2021.[2] There are five stripes: a yellow stripe, a chartreuse stripe, a green stripe, a blue stripe, and an orange stripe. The colors are meant to convey feelings of happiness. The colors chosen are also supposed to be colors that can be found in nature.
