Integender is a term for intersex people who feel that their gender identity, whatever it may be, is intrinsically tied to being intersex. It may be combined with other labels, or used on its own.[1]
For example, a demigirl who feels that their identity as a demigirl is linked to being intersex could be called an "integender demigirl". Or, an intersex person who feels that their gender is intersex could use integender alone.
It was created as an explicitly intersex-exclusive alternative to intergender.
History
The term was created on or before March 27th, 2020 by now-deactivated tumblr user autisticmegumin.[1]
It was coined due to the creator's discomfort of the popular meaning of intergender (as being a gender "between male and female") and the debate around if intergender is an intersex-specific/exclusive label or not.
