Hoodiegender is a xenogender and neurogender defined as a gender that feels safe (especially to those with mental illnesses) and comforting, but also can be hiding something "underneath," or feel mysterious.

Hoodiegender was coined on June 15, 2019 by Tumblr user mogai-me. The flag was created at the same time.[1] Dark red symbolizes the dark side of hoodiegender, light red symbolizes the lighter side of hoodiegender, and grey symbolizes the mental health part of hoodiegender.[1]
