    The original honeygender flag

Honeygender is a neurogender that is defined as "a gender that feels warm and soft, like a blanket, one's favorite jacket, or childhood home, that is childlike in nature. It feels comfort in the safety of trusting others and having the innocence of a little kid, with vague hints of masculinity/femininity/androgyny."

Another definition of honeygender is in use, which defines it as "a gender that feels slow and warm, but steady and sweet at the same time. It is also protective and sheltering."

    History

Honeygender was coined on July 19, 2019, by Tumblr user venturgender. The flag was created at the same time.

It is unclear when the second definition and flag were created, or by whom, but it was before August 14, 2019.

The third honeygender flag was created on November 4, 2021, by Discord user Sprig#6330. The stripes signify the following: yellow innocence, red masculinity, white androgyny, pink femininity, and orange warmth and softness.
