    The homproche flag.

Homproche refers to a gender expression that is masculine, despite having a gender that is not. A homproche can have any alignment, they are not necessarily male-aligned/solarian. For example a masculine woman may identify as homproche. A neutral aligned non-binary person who presents masculinely may also identify as homproche. It is an identity where one's gender non-conformity is an integral part of one's queer experience.

Homproche is also occasionally used as a synonym for proxvir- a gender that is close to male but is separate from it.

The feminine equivalent is femproche, the androgynous equivalent linproche, and neutral equivalent neuproche.

    Flag

The term and the flag were created by Tumblr user shadowofthedude on or before May 31, 2017. Violet represents gender neutrality. Blue represents masculinity. White represents all possible genders.[1]

    Etymology

Homproche comes from French homme meaning 'man' and proche meaning 'near' to mean "near or approaching male". Because it comes from French it is pronounced as "om-proesh".
