Girlboyflux, also known as boygirlflux, is gender that is simultaneously girl and boy but fluctuates between the two. For example being 25% girl and 75% boy, or 50% girl and 50% boy and so on with any percentage variance.
There is no clarified difference between girlboyflux and boygirlflux despite having slightly different flags. According to the coiner the arrangement is up to personal preference. Some may use one over the other if they have a lean towards one side, for example using girlboyflux if they are consistently more girl than boy.
History
Girlboyflux was coined by Tumblr user squidthing on January 11th 2022 and was posted with two versions of the flag, one for girlboyflux, and one for boygirlflux.[1]
