Gendershadow is a xenogender that is dark and shadowy. It may also be eerie, creepy, mysterious, foggy, demonic, or related to nighttime. However, it is not related in any way to evilness and wrong-doing as shadowy creatures are not inherently evil.
This term is exclusive to those whose kintype is a shadowy creature or who are a headmate that is a shadowy creature.

Gendershadow was coined by Rosie of the Cringe Collective (FANDOM user CasualChaos) on December 9th, 2021.[1]

The flag was created by the coiner on the same date.[1] The black represents darkness. The darker gray represents shadows. The lighter gray represents a foggy form. The lightest purple represents creepiness and eeriness. The middle purple represents mysteriousness. The darkest purple represents nighttime.
