Genderfaun

Genderfaun, also known as genderfawn, is a form of genderfluidity that never encompasses female or feminine genders. Genderfaun individuals can be fluid between any range of masculine genders, unaligned genders (such as aporagender), or genderlessness (such as agender), but never any feminine genders. Some may consider genderfaun to be a non-feminine subset of genderfluid.

The feminine counterpart to genderfaun is genderfae. The neutral counterpart is genderflor.

Variants of genderfaun include:

Genderfaunet: Never a binary woman, but can experience feminine genders.
Demifaun: Part of one's identity is genderfaun, another is not.
Libragenderfaun: Mostly agender, but has a connection that fluctuates between masculine and non-binary gender. Like genderfaun, it never encompasses feminine genders.
Greyfaun (Or grayfaun): Greyfaun describes someone who is genderfaun, but with a feeling of gender mostly influenced by being greygender.

A term within the genderfaun umbrella is gendersatyr, where the nonbinary genders experienced are often xenic.

Faunflux

Faunflux is a gender similar to genderfaun and genderflux. Faunflux is where ones gender fluctuates in intensity and changes but one doesn't feel any female or feminine genders. Faunflux individuals may feel genderless, unaligned, masculine or binary male. It is the non-feminine subset of fluidflux.

History

A similar term with the same name as faunflux was coined by hello-sleepy-queer on April 28, 2019.^[1] It describes a gender identity that shifts between agender and binary man. It is similar to boyflux, however it does not include other nonbinary identities outside of agender.

Neurogenderfaun

Neurogenderfaun (or neurogenderfawn) is a form of genderfluidity that never encompasses the feeling of being female nor feminine, but feels disconnected to gender due to neurodivergence. Basically, being genderfaun while feeling disconnected from gender due to neurodivergence.

History

Genderfaun was coined by DeviantArt user Shadowofthedude. The flag was posted on May 31, 2017.^[2]

Librafaun was coined by Discord user TheonetrueRick on December 15, 2020, for when ey could not find a term that suited him best.

Neurogenderfaun was coined by Tumblr user themogaidragon on July 29, 2020, inspired by the terms neuroboy and neurogirl.^[3]

Greyfaun was coined by DevianArt user Kuirlizate on October 14, 2021. ^[4]

Flags

A simplified genderfaun flag was created by by FANDOM user DeathByGlamourrrr. An alternate genderfaun flag, formatted like the genderfluid flag, was made by exclusionist twitter user strwbryfemme. The common faunflux flag was made by groveflags on November 13, 2020.^[5]

Another flag was created by made by exclusionist strwbryfemme.

The librafaun flag was created by Discord user TheonetrueRick on December 15, 2020. The black, gray, and white are from the libramasculine flag, and the middle stripe's colors are from the genderfaun flag.

The neurogenderfaun flags were created by Tumblr user themogaidragon on July 29, 2020.

The greyfaun flag was created by DevianArt user Kuirlizate on October 14, 2021, the same day he coined the term. The dark gray, light gray, white, and dark blue in the center are from the alternative greygender flag, while the colors in the middle are from the genderfaun flag.
