Gender Reincarnationism is when one feels a deep connection to reincarnation, or feels as though they themselves had a past life. That connection to their past life has a lot of effect on their gender. They might identify as a gender from their past life. For example, those who feel connected to being male in a past life might identify as a trans man in their current life.
One does not need their past life to be that of a human in order to use this microlabel. Someone might've been a male dragonfly, a female cat, or a plant in their past life. The only requirement is to have some form of connection to a past life, and feeling as though the gender in that past life affects one's current gender.
One does not necessarily need to believe in or feel connected to reincarnation. One might feel as though they had a past life while not believing it to be true; however, they still feel as though it has an effect on their overall gender experience.
This is also not a religious term. Anybody, regardless of religion or lack thereof, is allowed to use this term.
