    Fluidmasc is a term which describes an individual whose gender is mostly fluid between being male, miaspec and min, but occasionally experiences other genders, all of which feel masculine or related to manhood in some capacity. The masculinity in those genders always (or very frequently) has the same intensity.

    Examples include:

    • Identifying as any masculine or manhood related genders, such as demiboy, cenrell or binary man;
    • Identifying as any fiaspec gender with a touch of masculinity/manhood, such as azurgirl or GNC woman;
    • Identifying as any xiaspec gender with a touch of masculinity/manhood, such as xenoboy;
    • Identifying as any niaspec gender with a touch of masculinity/manhood, such as axvir;
    • Identifying as any liaspec gender with a lean towards masculinity/manhood, such as mascandrogyne or androx;
    • Identifying with other genders/gender spectrum(s), but still experiencing a connection to masculinity/manhood;
    • Identifying as multiple genders at once, one of which is always related to being a man or masculine.

    Sublabels

    While there are multiple sublabels to describe slightly different, but still similar experiences, they do not have to be used. Someone can just identify with 'fluidmasc', while their actual identity is something akin to anything written below.

    Fluidmascflux (alt. name: fluixmasc): someone whose genders always feel masculine, however the amount of masculinity changes. For example, one day all of their genders feel 100% masculine, some days the level of masculinity decreases. The amount of masculinity might vary with genders too, for example someone feels 10% masculine when experiencing a fiaspec gender, but 40% masculine when they're xenic.

    Parafluidmasc/parafluxmasc (alt. name: parrmasc): someone who fits the definition of fluidmasc and/or fluixmasc, except the masculine/male alignment sometimes disappears. In those instances the person might identify with another alignment, multiple of them or none at all. The connection to masculinity/manhood usually comes back rather quickly, though it depends on an individual.

    Demifluidmasc (alt. name: thilnetfluid): someone who relates to the concept of fluidmasc, however their genderfluidity never (or very rarely) encompasses certain genders. For example, a demifluidmasc person might experience all genders aside from xenogenders/xingenders. Their relation to masculinity does not change.

    History and Etymology

    This term and its sister terms, such as fluidfem, were coined by a Discord user on June 3rd 2022. The flags and alternates were made by the same user, unless otherwise specified.

    The 'fluix' part in fluixmasc is a mash-up of 'fluid' and 'flux', it was done in order to make the term easier to write and pronounce. In parrmasc, the para- prefix indicates that this change rarely happens. Alternative name for demifluidmasc is based off of genderthil and the 'net' part from genderfawnet.
