Exiccogender is a gender that, when thought about, feels empty and draining, having a draining effect on the person and making them feel empty. An exiccogender person may not have a gender when not thinking about their gender identity, but when they do, their gender consciously feels empty, draining, and tiring.

The term and flag were created by DeviantArt user Pride-Flags on August 17, 2015.[1] The alternate flag was created on the same day by the same user.[2]
