Plerugender

Plerugender (also known as domgender) is a multigender identity where one experiences multiple genders, but one identity is more dominant, takes up more of one's gender, or is felt more strongly then any other gender(s).^[1]

Plerugender is typically used in combination with another gender, indicating that gender is more dominant (ie: pleruboy, plerugirl, plerunonbinary, etc.) For example, a pleruneutrois person has multiple genders, but neutrois is more dominant, takes up more of their gender, or is felt more strongly then any other gender(s).

Pleruboy

Pleruboy or domboy is an identity under the plerugender umbrella where a male or masculine gender is more dominant, takes up more of one's gender, or is felt more strongly than any other gender(s).

Plerugirl

Plerugirl or domgirl is an identity under the plerugender umbrella where a female or feminine identity is more dominant, takes up more of one's gender, or is felt more strongly than any other gender(s).

Plerunonbinary

Plerunonbinary or domnonbinary is an identity under the plerugender umbrella where a non-binary identity is more dominant, takes up more of one's gender, or is felt more strongly than any other gender(s).

Pleruandrogyne

Pleruandrogyne or domandrogyne is an identity under the plerugender umbrella where an androgynous identity is more dominant, takes up more of ones gender, or is felt more strongly than any other genders.

Pleruneutrois

Pleruneutrois or domneutrois is an identity under the plerugender umbrella where a neutral or neutrois identity is more dominant, takes up more of ones gender, or is felt more strongly than any other genders.

History

The term plerugender was coined on or before July 13th, 2014 by tumblr users space-gem and agendertouka.

Flags

The plerugirl, pleruboy, and both plerunonbinary flags were coined by user Pride-flags on Deviantart on or before August 28th of 2015. The colors represent ones strongest gender (example: pink = femininity/women) while the black is for lack of gender, as well as a strong contrast to the primary colour to show the strength and dominance behind one’s gender.^[2] The pleruneutrois flag was created by Deviantart user SilenceTheFox on May 20th of 2018. It was based off of the other plerugender flags.
