    The disemotugender flag.

Disemotugender is a mutogender and neurogender defined as a gender that changes whilst experiencing an emotion or feeling associated with the individual's disorder(s). The emotion or feeling could be anything from dissociation, to instability, to depression, to paranoia, and so on. This can be due to a specific disorder or a symptom of an unknown one.

In some cases, this term can overlap with others, such as episodegender, in the case of, for example, someone with Bipolar Disorder whose gender changes during a depressive episode. The individual may identify as both episode- and disemotu- gender, but they can also choose the label that they feel best describes the cause of the change.

Someone who identifies as disemotugender may usually feel non-binary, but when experiencing one of these emotions or feelings, they may feel like they are agender.

This term is specific to those with these experiences. It is also an umbrella term in the Muto-Disordered Gender System.

    History

The term was coined by FANDOM user TheNelsonSystem on July 2, 2021. The flag was created by the same user on the same day.

    Flag

The disemotugender flag has six stripes. The colors have no specific meaning but were inspired by the colors found on the mental health flag, as well as the LGBTQ+ rainbow pride flag.

    Etymology

The name for the term is a combination of the words disorder, emotion/emotugender, and gender.
