    The disakoiromantic flag.

Disakoiromantic (pronounced dis-a-koi-ro-man-tic) is a romantic orientation on the aromantic spectrum. Someone who is disakoiromantic may experience the desire to feel romantic attraction from someone else onto themselves, but are unable to reciprocate it due to only being able to experience a different form of attraction, being romance-repulsed, or being aromantic in general. This does not mean that they cannot be in a relationship with said person(s).

    Some common experiences include:

    • Fantasizing about being in a romantic relationship with someone, but when presented with someone who likes them, are unable to give back those romantic feelings (though they may still feel aesthetic/platonic/physical attraction to them).
    • Being unable to reciprocate, or give back, romantic feelings to someone who likes them romantically, even if they try really hard to.
    • Feeling only aesthetic, physical, or platonic attraction.

Disakoiromantic can be considered to be near the exact opposite of lithromantic/akoiromantic, which is where it got most of its name from.

This romantic orientation can be matched with other romantic and sexual orientations. Someone who is disakoiromantic can also be homoromantic, heteroromantic, biromantic, aromantic, etc. It can also be matched with sexual orientations. As long as it is who that individual is, it is valid and can be matched with it.

    The sexual counterpart is disakoisexual.

    History

    Flag

The disakoiromantic flag has five stripes. Dark green represents aesthetic attraction, medium mint represents physical attraction, mint represents romantic attraction, grey represents the inability to give back attraction, and black represents validity and grey takes of this aro-spec identity.
