    The digigender flag.

Digigender is a digital xenogender which is, or resembles an application or electronic entity. It can be a broadly digital gender or it can be a specific digital thing or file, such as virus, malware, .txt, .mp3, antivirus, trojan, email, etc. These digital entities can also be extended to media codecs, creating a codecgender. It can also be used a prefix to combine with other genders (digiboy, digigirl, etc.). Digigender is most commonly used by people who are robotkin or similar kintypes, but one does not have to be either of these to identify as digigender.

    History

Digigender's coiner is unknown, but the earliest mention of the term was by Tumblr user @pride-color-schemes on the 28th of July, 2016.[1]

    Flags

The digigender flag was created by Tumblr user @pride-color-schemes on or before the 28th of July, 2016. The flag uses blue due to its associations with the internet and digital things, and the numbers used spell out "Digigender" in binary.[1]
