    Colorgender or colourgender is both a distinct gender and umbrella term for genders associated with one or more colors and the feelings, hues, emotions, or objects associated with that color.

    Common Colorgenders

    The common colorgenders are those on the ROYGBIV or rainbow spectrum of colors. These include redgender, orangegender, yellowgender, greengender, bluegender, indigogender, purplegender, and rainbowgender. Huegender is a fluid form of rainbowgender.

    Because of the commonness of the color, pinkgender is also considered a common colorgender.

    Uncommon Colorgenders

    Uncommon colorgenders are connected to variant color spectrums, such as:

    • Clargender, a gender connected to bright colors
    • Pastelgender, a gender connected to any pastel colors
    • Neonic, a gender connected to any neon colors.

    These colorgenders are often also coric.

    Colorgender was coined by an anonymous creator and posted by Tumblr user mogai-archive on or before Oct 29th, 2014.[1] The flag was created by DeviantArt user Pride-Flags on August 22, 2015.[2]
