Chimeragender is a xenogender that encompasses the feeling of being a hybrid, or not human, like a monster but not truly, and is under the umbrella of monstergenders. More specifically, it is the feeling of being a hybrid of a lion, snake, and goat, either metaphorically or literally.
It's a gender that encompasses the strong vital connection with the mythical beasts known as chimeras, whether it be straight from their lore, or chimeras as represented in different media. This gender was also heavily inspired by Kasane Teto[1], an Utau UTAU who is a chimera. Individuals with a connection to Kasane Teto may use chimeragender as well. Chimeragender is free for anyone to use, especially those who are neurodivergent and have a complex relationship with the concept of gender.
History
Chimeragender was coined and created by diefaketodo on Tumblr, submitted to xeno-aligned[2] on June 11th, 2020 in order to properly coin. The alternate flag was created by wiki user Robinary on January 3rd, 2021. The symbol used is from Game-icons.net.[3] Each color represents a different animal; red for dragons, gray for goats, green for snakes, and brown for lions.
It was first coined by lgbtqiarchive via Tumblr on or before June 8th, 2020[4] with a flag on June 9th, 2020.[5]
