A bambi orientation is an identity based on a preference for cuddles, hugs, kisses, and other affectionate and even sensual non-sexual acts over sexual acts. The term "bambi orientation" is derived from the term "bambi lesbian", which originated in the 1980s. Most bambi orientations are associated with the asexual spectrum, but can be used by allosexual individuals as well. However, this does not necessarily apply to all bambi orientations.
