Caracalgender is a xenogender in which someone feels an extremely strong connection to caracal cats or other big cats, either strongly identifying with them or simply wanting to incorporate them into their gender to better understand their identity. It is a specific type of catgender.
This term may be used interchangeably with panthagender. It may also have a specific type of cat added to it. (Example: cheetah-carcalgender.)
History
The term Caracalgender was coined by Tumblr user frontavant on February 5, 2019.[1]
Flag
The caracalgender flag was created on April 10th, 2021 by fandom user TheAshSystem. The colors are meant to represent the colors of a caracal cat, and so it the icon of the cat head.
