Bifluid, also known as Bigenderfluid, is a where someone experiences two genders and both are separately fluid. An example would be a gender that moves from being 50% demiboy and 50% pangender to 50% female and 50% non-binary.

It can also be defined as any combination of bigender and genderfluid. For example, one may be fluid between exactly two genders.

    History

Bifluid has been coined multiple times. The first time it was coined was by an unknown user on or before September 5, 2015.[1]

The term was independently coined with a different meaning by Tumblr user pride-on-a-string on April 17, 2020.[2] This definition is a sexuality, not a gender like the definition given on this page. This definition can be found on the bifluid (sexuality) page. Due to the definition of this recoining not aligning with the definition on this page, the flag for this definition is not on this page.

The term was independently coined again by FANDOM user DentalFricative on June 14, 2021.[3]

    Flags

The original flag was designed by an unknown user on or before September 4, 2015. The second flag was designed by an unknown user on or before September 4, 2015.[4] Three more alternate flags were created by Tumblr user pride-color-schemes, on or before July 15, 2016.[5] The meanings for all of the flags is that they are bigender flags blended together to represent fluidity.

Another alternate flag was designed by FANDOM user DentalFricative on June 14, 2021. The flag's color meanings are currently unknown.
