Not to be confused with avatargender
Avatrian is a xenogender and specifically a fictigender relating to the TV show Avatar the Last Airbender (ATLA). It is a gender related to the concept of the avatar and the power, aesthetics, and history of them. It can be described in a variety of ways-
- A multigender person who is all four genders pertaining to benders from ATLA: waterbendrian, airbendrian, earthbendrian, and firebendrian
- A monogender person whose gender is a single integration of waterbendrian, airbendrian, earthbendrian, and firebendrian
- Someone whose gender is just related to the idea and concept and aesthetics of the avatar, not necessarily individual bending aspects
Avatrian may also be an aesthetigender and/or a kingender, but it doesn't have to be.
History
The term avatrian was coined by LGBTA Wiki user Reign of the breadsticcs on March 16, 2021. The flags were designed later the same day by the same user.
Flag
The avatrian flag showcases four sections to represent each of the four kinds of bending mastered by the avatar, with each kind of bending corresponding with its own symbol: Dark blue/grey for airbending/ the Air Nomads, light blue for waterbending/ the Water Tribe, green for earthbending/ the Earth Kingdom, and red-orange for firebending/ the Fire Nation.
