    Athenomasc flag

Athenomasc is a synonym to transmasculine, with a focus on always having been or always being male/masculine but having the wisdom, knowledge, and experiences gained from having spent time living as the opposite gender.

    The transfeminine equivalent is apollafem.

    History

Athenomasc was coined by reddit user u/yahahawei on August, 17th, 2022 as an alternative to transmasculine[1].

    Flags

The original flag was made by the same user on the same day. It was then updated to the newer, preferred design, again by the same user. The design uses shades of blue, teal, and green to represent being 100% masculine/male, with the symbol of Athena the Goddess of wisdom on it to represent the wisdom of the other gender.

The full color explanation of the flag is that the darker blue represents traditional masculinity, the light blue represents the color of masculinity on the original trans flag, the green represents nonbinary genders, and the teal represents non-traditional/GNC masculinity.
