    The anigender flag.
    An alternative anigender flag
    67plus-genders' anigender flag

Anlgender is a xenogender that has a strong tie to anime, or themes of anime such as magical girls, slice of life, shonen, etc. This could be a gender such as a fictigender, an aesthetigender, or a kingender, however it could also be a gender that changes or fluctuates when watching anime, or a gender that is only felt when watching anime. This could be a combination of any other gender identities such as Anigirl, Aniboy, Aninonbinary, etc.

If ones gender is effected by a certain anime or anime genre, they may put it into their label. Examples: AOT-anigender/Attack on Titan-anigender, mystery-anigender, etc.

    History

The term anigender was coined by Tumblr user 67plus-Genders.[1][2]

    Flags

The Anigender flags were created by Alex on December 28th, 2020.

On the first flag, the sparkles represent magical/superhero anime, the black and grey represents tragedy anime, the brown represents war/military/mecha anime and historical anime, the red represents drama anime and mystery anime, the pink represents school anime and slice of life, the purple represents comedic anime, the purple-ish blue stripe represents fantasy anime, the light blue represents romance anime, and dark blue represents sci-fi and space-based anime. White represents all genres inbetween and all overlapping genres. The design is made to look like an anime eye.

The second flag has some similarities in color meaning, but with slight alterations. The purple-ish blue represents magical and superhero anime, the light blue represents fantasy anime, the medium blue represents school anime and slice of life, the dark blue represents sci-fi and space based, the brown represents war/military and mecha anime, the black represents tragedy and mystery, the purple represents comedy, the pink represents romance, the red represents drama anime. The white represents all genres inbetween and all overlapping genres.
