Alligender or gatorgender is a xenogender in which one's gender feels fierce and strong, but remains docile and hidden. It is a gender strongly connected to alligators, either strongly identifying with them or simply wanting to incorporate them into their gender to better understand their identity. It can be considered a faunagender and a kingender.
History
Alligender was coined on February 9, 2019, by tumblr user mogai-unlimited and originally defined as "a gender that is fierce and strong, but remains docile and hidden[1]." The flag was created at the same time.
An alternative flag was created by Twitter user sooblvs on July 15th, 2020[2].
Another alternative flag, referred to in the post as gatorgender, was was created by Twitter user hokutonui on August 22nd, 2021[3].

The meaning of the original alligender flag is unknown.
Sooblvs's alligender flag's meaning is as follows: green represents neurodivergence, light green represents femininity, white represents a love and connection to alligators, black represents those who are gender nonconforming and also represents unique gender expression, light dull green represents masculinity, and regular dull green represents all pronouns and identities.
Hokutonui's alternative flag's meaning is unknown.
