Aeoligender is a modegender and musicgender that feels dark and melancholic, or relates to the Aeolian mode. One may feel that their gender can only be described using the Aeolian mode. Alternatively, one's gender might change and/or fluctuate while listening to music that uses the Aeolian scale, or while playing an instrument in the Aeolian scale.

The term was coined by Tumblr user synpa-tee on July 27, 2021.[1]
Flag
The aeoligender flag was created by Tumblr user synpa-tee on August 3, 2021.[2] There are five stripes: two black stripes, a grey stripe, a blue stripe, and a desaturated navy blue stripe. The use of navy blue comes from the modegender flag, which uses navy blue to represent the Aeolian mode. The black and grey stripes are meant to convey darkness, while the blue stripe represents melancholy or sadness.
