The intimaship flag

Intimaship is a relationship that is purely for sexual interaction. It is different from a casual relationship, as it does not entail the concept of creating emotional bonds of any kind. One who is in an intimaship will only, or almost only, interact in a sexual mannerism or sexual situation. This term was coined with neurodivergent, aromantic, and individuals who struggle to make mind-based (emotional, mental, romantic, etc) bonds in mind, however it can be used by anyone.

History

The term intimaship was coined by user Amnisty from user Cryptocrew's system on December 16th, 2020. It was inspired as they were browsing through relationship types, and noticed there wasn't one for a purely sexual bond.

Flag

The intimaship flag was created by Amnisty on December 16th, 2020. The tan background represents intimate relations, the rainbow represents the scope of sexualities that exist, the design represents sexual acts and sexual touch between partners, and the pale and brown represents all races within the community, as people of color are often overlooked.
